Lauri
Lauri holds a BS in social sciences and an MSW, both from Florida State University. She was an ‘adult learner,’ going to college later than the traditional timeline. She’s worked as a social worker in school, hospital, and community settings. Prior to becoming a social justice warrior, she worked as a licensed vet tech that specialized in veterinary surgical nursing; before that she held many jobs - from working in advertising, to making rubber stamps, to working as an assistant to an art dealer. She is a lifetime collector and fan of music and even worked as a community radio DJ for a couple of years. She identifies as an East Coaster, having grown up in Maryland, but has lived all over. Lauri is married and lives a secular, childless life.

JoJo
JoJo is our reluctant office manager. She also provides security, barking at visitors and delivery drivers alike. Managing a team of two humans and two cats is a tough job, and she takes it seriously. When not on the clock, she enjoys sleeping under a fuzzy blanket and walkies. A fan of fashion and hater of cold, she has an extensive sweater collection. Nubs are her favorite treats but honestly, she’s never met a cookie she didn’t like. Mindfulness and quiet contemplation are her preferred therapies; she’d journal if she had thumbs. She doesn’t mind disclosing that she takes an SSRI daily for her anxiety - and has for years! She’d like to remind you that this is a no-judgement zone and all are welcome!
Kitt
Kitt serves as middle management and keeper of lunch breaks. She occasionally interrupts sessions to complain about something that could have waited until the end of the day. She holds meetings that could have been sorted with an email. When not working, she enjoys the nip, belly flops, and sunbathing. Like JoJo, she also has never met a treat she didn’t like. Kitt prefers solutions-focused therapy because she’s busy and doesn’t have time for long-term therapy. Truth be told, she doesn’t need to work on herself, she’s sweet and gentle and perfect — if she’d just stop with the meetings. Kitt would like to remind you that you are worthy of love!
Stevie
Our newest member to the team, Stevie, is still trying to find her place at LSTS. Most often, she serves as ‘comfort kitty’ at the end of the day; whether the comfort is for her or us is unknown. She is jockeying for Jojo’s job, but she has no qualifications. To rise through the ranks, Stevie needs to work on her bullying, self-esteem, and listening skills. She would likely benefit from play therapy but refuses to admit to any problems. Stevie doesn’t mind disclosing that she takes calming supplements every morning to help with her sometimes outrageous behavior (our words, not hers) toward her big sisters. Her strongest qualities are cuteness and determination. She enjoys playing fetch and biting in her spare time. Stevie would like to remind you that you are fierce and fearless, just like her!
